Partnerships

Thanks for checking out our Partners in Orange County. Below you will find a list of recommended professionals and companies that Play Your Part is proud to be affiliated with. They are listed in alphabetical order.

Bumps to Babies

This company began in hopes to properly educate parents on the realities of parenthood.  It is our belief that pregnancy and parenthood has become extremely glamorized and has not focused on the changes it brings upon the family dynamic. Having a child is an incredible experience and many couples prepare themselves for this beautiful moment revolving around the birth, however, those seeking our services express that they felt thrown into the actual lifestyle that parenthood brought upon them.  We truly believe parents should be educated not only with the birthing experience, but with what will follow next.  In addition to being a registered nurse, Stefanie has become certified as a birth & postpartum doula, as well as a trained CPR instructor.

The Collective

The Collective is a gathering place for OC Families.  Classes, groups, workshops and play dates for expecting and new parents are offered regularly by Orange County’s leading perinatal experts and care providers. It is essential for people to come together and find authentic support, confidence and connection on the journey of parenthood.  Community is at the heart of everything we do here. The Collective was founded by Lauren Jacobs and Chelsea Croce, the owners of OC’s Premier Doula Agency; Doulas of Orange County. Already offering a vast array of prenatal and parenting classes, Chelsea and Lauren saw a need to expand and open a center dedicated to featuring additional offerings through the first few years of parenthood including music therapy classes, infant massage and playgroups and more. Whether you are kid free, have a baby on the way, one in your arms or a full wolf pack at home; we know you’ll feel right at home with The Collective.

Lisa Sherwood, Midwife

Lisa is passionate about maintaining birth as a normal, physiologic process that needs to be supported. She believes the woman’s birth space needs to be a sacred, safe space where a woman can relax, allow her body to work as it was designed, and the birthing family can emerge from the process feeling encouraged, respected, and cared for with compassion through the process. She is dedicated to providing individualized care to women in a hospital setting, affording women and their families to utilize their health insurance for care, receive emergency services, and experience a seamless transition if medical care is indicated. Thus, the midwife stays with the woman throughout the process. Contact: Lisa Sherwood is part of the Orange Coast Women’s Medical Group. She meets with patients and catches babies at Saddleback Hospital in Laguna Hills, CA.To make an appointment with Lisa or find out if her services are covered by your insurance, please call: 949-829-5500.
